When one call isn’t enough, bring in the big blend.
Planting Type: Till-ready for best performance. Handles a variety of soils and situations.
📅 Planting Dates:
Spring: March – early June
Fall: August – September
🌾 Seeding Rate:
Broadcast: 20 lbs/acre
Drilled: 15 lbs/acre
🌍 Soil Prep:
Clear debris and kill off competition
Disk or till 2–4 inches deep
Firm seedbed with cultipacker or roller
Broadcast just before rain if not drilling
💦 Planting Depth:
1/4" to 1/2" — shallow, firm soil contact is key
🌤️ Sunlight Needs:
Performs best in full sun, tolerates light shade
Fertilizer Tips:
Apply 300–400 lbs/acre of 10-10-10
Lime to pH 6.0–7.0 for best growth
Optional: topdress with nitrogen if planting oats or brassicas
Maintenance:
Mow once during summer if weeds get tall
Overseed lightly each year to keep it thick
Rotate plots or add fertilizer to maintain soil health
